I absolutely loved the hotel's decoration! The vintage furniture and beautiful artwork throughout the common areas gave it a charming and elegant atmosphere. It felt like stepping back in time. Plus, the location was perfect for us senior folks, with all the main attractions just a short walk away.
The only thing I would have asked for is a bit more assistance from the children working there. As older individuals, it would have been nice to have some help getting up from the floor-level bed and using certain facilities in the room.

A Memorable Stay
During our visit to the townhouse in the heart of historic Ghent, we were pleasantly surprised by the unique feature of having both an inside and outside shower in the double room. It allowed us to experience the refreshing sensation of showering both indoors and outdoors simultaneously, creating an extraordinary and invigorating start to our day. The delightful blend of nature and comfort made our stay truly memorable.

Stayed at a "hotel" with no parking, but no worries, I just got to walk around in search of a spot. Loved the "wellness facilities" that were nowhere to be found and the "bicycle rental services" that I never saw. Great experience!
Parking was such a breeze. Absolutely loved it.

Perfect Location: This unique B&B is nestled in the heart of historical Ghent, just a stone's throw away from St Nicholas' Church, the Belfry, and Gravensteen's castle. It's like staying in the middle of a fairytale! Cozy Comfort: The rooms are beautifully designed, with a definite touch of elegance. The bed and breakfast offers a wide range of amenities, including a private bathroom with a bath or shower and luxurious bathrobes. You'll feel like royalty! Wellness and Recreation: Need to relax after a day of exploring? This property also boasts wellness facilities, so you can unwind and rejuvenate. Plus, if you'd like to explore the city on wheels, bicycle rental services are available. What more could you ask for?
Limited Kitchenette: Although the description mentioned a "kitchenette," it wasn't clear to us that it didn't come with crockery and cutlery. It would have been nice to have a few things to munch on in the room.

stayed at this unique and artsy place in Ghent and it was truly a memorable experience. The location was perfect for exploring and it was surprisingly quiet. The room was filled with beautiful art, and the bed was comfortable for a good night's sleep. The host was friendly and even drove us to the station. Definitely recommend!

The nearby establishments kept me well-fed and entertained, while the option to rent a bike or indulge in wellness services helped me maintain my posh lifestyle. With St Bavo's Cathedral just a short stroll away, I was able to balance culture with indulgence.
Dry cleaning services? Who needs those when you're living your best, carefree life?

Cleanliness: The room was spotless and meticulously maintained - with attention to every tiny detail. Location: Couldn't be better - right on the edge of the old town and close to everything. Local insights: Erik - the host - gave great recommendations on places to visit - eat, and things to do in the area. Outstanding service: Erik went above and beyond - providing a personal touch by taking us to the train station in his own car to avoid the hassle of public transportation.
Can't recommend highly enough.

We stayed at this excellent B&B for a romantic weekend in Ghent. The King Room's beautiful decor and sunken bath made for a truly special experience. The location in the old town was perfect, with all the attractions within a short walk. Erik, our host, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, and we can't wait to return. The quirky baroque and Japanese combination, along with the art and art books, added a fun and unique touch. The breakfast was fantastic, and the owner and staff were friendly and helpful.
Can just recommend this hotel.

The location of this hotel is exceptional, right in the heart of the city with restaurants and bars adjacent. The rooms are highly individualized and the decor is quite interesting. For example, one room is designed as a gallery with displays in a shop window. The service provided by the host is warm and welcoming, and they take the time to explain the whole layout of the place. Guests can also enjoy amenities such as a hammam for relaxation.
The toilet in the room is quite small and not very comfortable.

The room was spacious and had a modern bathroom with a steam setting, which was perfect for the chilly weather. The owner was kind enough to allow us to check in a few hours early, giving us more time to settle in. the breakfast served was delicious and of high quality, offering a variety of options to choose from. The location of the hotel was also convenient, situated in the heart of the city close to various attractions and amenities.
There were a few issues that slightly dampened our experience. The windows in the room were not able to be opened, making it difficult to regulate the temperature and air flow.

I absolutely loved the modern, colorful decor of my room at Schopenhauer. It was unlike anything I had seen before, with unique features like a sunken bed. The complimentary bottle of wine and beer added a nice touch to my stay. The location of the B&B was fantastic, right in the center of the city with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. I enjoyed walking along the canal, which was just across the street. The organization of the owner was top-notch, with clear instructions provided for parking and check-in. I had a great experience at Schopenhauer and would highly recommend it.
